![]() In fact, I removed the one I downloaded from MOTU." I have no problem hosting the PL VIs in the version that I download and keep updated from UVI. On the matter of the the MOTU library being a subset of MachFive (and not a subset of PlugSound Pro), is there some risk of future versions of Falcon not opening the MachFIve files? I suppose it would be possible at this point to convert all the MachFive programs to UVI programs, and then just delete the MachFIve VI, or at least stop using it.Īre you aware of anything the UVI workstation does that Falcon doesn't? Maybe more convenient when working with others, but all my contact use GB, not PL. I think there was some quoting bugs there: I think I write the bit about the new version of Falcon seeing the MOTU VI. If I have all this right, I can delete UVI Workstation, and the Workstation VI that comes with Performer Lite, and delete the MOTU Instruments Lite library. ![]() So there would not appear to be any reason to have UVI workstation, or the MOTU provided Workstation. It will load the MOTU Instruments Lite library. UPDATE: Just tried the new version of Falcon in Performer Lite. So at the very least you don't want MOTU Instruments Lite in a folder where Falcon can see it, if you don't want to have to dismiss this error on every session. Maybe 3 is not true, but Falcon also issues an error message that MOTU Instruments Lite cannot be loaded, and this happens when using Falcon standalone, or hosted in DP and Logic. I think MLC pointed this out, and if true, and you have Plug Sound Pro, there is no point in having MOTU Instruments Lite.Ĥ. MOTU Instruments Lite is the same as, or a subset of UVI PlugSound Pro. So at the very least, the UVI Workstation standalone and the AU VI are not exactly the same thing. They both open in PL and look identical, and show the same available libraries, but if you open UVI Workstation (or Falcon) on a stand alone basis, you get an error message that the MOTU Instruments Lite that comes with MOTU hardware free cannot be loaded. UVI Workstation and the Workstation VI that comes with Performer Lite are not the same thing. ![]() If you have Falcon, there is no point in having UVI Workstation (I saw that on the UVI site, but I wonder).Ģ. I've just updated Falcon and the related libraries, and realized there are a few things I might not have right.
